As well as doing a cracking job of presenting Strictly Come Dancing on our screens every Saturday for the foreseeable, we are also fans of Emma Willis’ glam hair and makeup looks.

The star recently took over the show’s presenting reins, alongside co-hosts Johannes Radebe and Josh Widdicombe, stepping out with a sparkly, smokey eye and an equally sparkly dress for the most recent show.

If you’ve been loving Emma’s take on Strictly glam as much as we have, you’ll be delighted to know that we got the low-down on the exact products that were behind said sophisticated, sparkly eye makeup look.

The presenter’s long-time makeup artist, Amanda Bowen, shared a behind-the-scenes look at her kit on Instagram Stories, confirming some of the products she used to create Emma’s gorgeous sparkly eye – plus, a couple of the complexion products, too, for good measure.

On Emma’s eyes, Makeup by Mario’s Soft Shimmer cream shadows were used alongside Victoria Beckham’s Beauty’s cult smokey kajal liner. The finishing glitzy touch, though, was down to a product from the recently relaunched Marc Jacobs Beauty line: the star-encased Born Star Cream-to-Powder Eyeshadow in what looks to be the shade Serving.

As for the complexion buys, Amanda primed Emma’s skin using the Delilah Wake Up Skin Smoother, a blurring and balancing primer, and Lisa Eldridge’s new radiance-boosting Luminist Concealer.

The finished effect was beautifully even, hydrated skin with just the right amount of glow to really set off those elegant, shimmering eyes.

Now, everyone loves a bargain, and some of the exact buys used on the night are a little pricey. So the eagle-eyed team has scoured some deals for our favourite discounted and affordable alternatives you can pick up for less. You’re welcome…
