ITV drama Finding Alice had viewers gripped from the very beginning as Alice’s whole world came tumbling down after she lost her husband Harry. With the UK in its third lockdown, it’s perhaps no surprise that people have been increasingly absorbed by the latest thrillers, mysteries and period dramas hitting our screens. From Regency-era Bridgerton to heist drama Lupin, there have certainly been some pretty amazing shows landing on streaming platforms and on TV.
And if you haven't already watched Finding Alice, then you're in for a treat as it's certainly up there as one of the most watchable shows of this year so far. Starring Keeley Hawes, Joanna Lumley and Nigel Havers, amongst many others, the talented cast bring the show's grief, secrets and revelations to life in spectacular style.
Fans of a cliffhanger ending won’t be disappointed by the series finale, which left more than a few unanswered questions.
But whether or not we’ll ever get the answers depends on if there's going to be a Finding Alice second series...

What is Finding Alice about?
Finding Alice follows widow Alice, played by Keeley, who must process her beloved husband Harry’s death. Grief-stricken, Alice struggles with feelings of loss, disorientation and abandonment, whilst trying to settle into the brand new dream home he designed.

And if that wasn’t difficult enough to handle, it seems that despite being married for 20 years, Alice didn’t know Harry quite as well as she thought. Before long, some pretty unimaginable secrets emerge for her to contend with - things that she could never have believed Harry would keep from her.
Is there going to be a second series of Finding Alice?
Speaking on The One Show before the show finished about the possibility of a Finding Alice second season, actor Joanna Lumley (who plays Alice's mother, Sarah) has been reported as revealing: "I don't know yet, because it hasn't quite finished airing, and I think that it hasn't been commissioned yet. So we keep our fingers crossed like all these things.”
“You just never know what's in the offing,” she told presenter Alex Jones, but said that she was “so thrilled” to be a part of the series.
Whilst Isabella Pappas, who plays Alice’s daughter Charlotte, recently opened up to Metro.co.uk about how she felt when she read the ending of the script.
‘I felt shock,’ she said. “And then I felt like I needed to know what happens next.”
“You want more which I think is good because then that opens it up. It would be amazing if we did season two.”
ITV has yet to officially announce a Finding Alice second series. However, given the success of the drama and its seriously shocking cliffhanger ending, there is definitely scope to follow Alice’s story a little further. After all, how else will viewers finally learn the full truth?
But it seems that for now, we’ll just have to keep our fingers crossed!
