We love nothing more than a bargain here at Woman & Home, especially if the purchase is as functional as it is stylish.
So when we heard about the £5 homeware buy from Matalan that’s been proving very popular online, we were all ears.
Recently, shoppers have been going crazy over a chic new doormat from the budget retailer, which reads ‘Welcome’ in a very on-trend font.
The doormats have been popping up all over social media, with customers sharing how theirs has slotted neatly in to their home.
Of course, nothing is more inviting to guests than a chic welcome to your home – and we reckon this mat does the job perfectly.
Plus, the Matalan product is stylishly slimline, meaning it will fit into almost any place, and will cover the length of your front door – whether you’re in a flat or a house.
However, it seems the mat is best suited for small spaces, with one customer writing, ‘Very happy with the product. I only needed a small door mart so this half size is perfect. The design is simple and it’s definitely worth it for the price. Would recommend.’
Fans have also been singing the praises of the doormat online. One happy shopper wrote on the Matalan website, ‘Lovely looking mat. Looks more expensive than it is’, while another agreed, saying, ‘Lovely long door mat that looks so elegant outside our front door – really pleased with the shape and size! Might even buy another for inside the door’.
A third customer also commented, ‘I got this for our house and I love it. It’s snaller than a normal door mat but it looks great and I love the ‘welcome’ writing. Would definitely recommend.’ While a fourth said, ‘Lovely mat, wish I had brought two so I had a spare!’
The doormat measures 60cm x 40cm, meaning you’ll need to use your judgement to see if it will suit your space. However, this piece is so stylish, we reckon you could make it work just about anywhere…
But it’s not the only cute doormat on offer at Matalan at the moment. The retailer is also selling a sweet, hedgehog shaped mat, and many with some fun and cheeky slogans.
So will you be buying any of them for your home?
