Bio Organic Prosecco, Veneto, Italy

For the organic wine fans

Specifications

Stockist: Northern Wine & Beer
Volume: 750ml

A great prosecco! The label says extra dry and it definitely is. It's a grown-up prosecco and not sweet like some of the supermarket varieties people might be used to and although it's organic, it isn't sulphite free. It's 11% but feels more alcoholic for some reason. A lovely way to toast Easter.

For anyone who loves rose Champagne, this is an absolute gem. It's a fraction of the price that its Champagne counterparts would sell for and it's just as delicious. The tasting notes include brioche, vanilla, red apple & tangy peach - they're definitely right about the white fruits! The brioche flavour is a little trickier to find but there's a bread-y caramel-y flavour that is not dissimilar to the french treat. It's best served with fish or chicken so use it to make a toast to the long Easter weekend, or as an aperitif.
