They have yet to name their son, but according to reports, Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank will give him this unique middle name - out of tradition.

·   The unique middle name, Stamp, is a tribute to one of Jack Brookbank's ancestors.

·    The news was revealed in a report by the Mail on Sunday - according to a source.

·     It follows royal news that Prince Charles has launched a nature-inspired activity challenge for children this half term.

Buckingham Palace confirmed the happy news last week, the arrival of their first baby. While Eugenie posted a sweet picture, of the 11th air to the throne, on her Instagram page - showing her son's tiny fingers.

Giving birth in London's Portland hospital, last Tuesday, the palace announced that their son weighed in at 8lbs and 1oz.

But despite not revealing his first name, the Mail on Sunday has confirmed that his middle name will be Stamp. The name is a tribute to Jack's great-great-great-great-grandfather - who was called Stamp Brooksbank and was a governor of the Bank of England.

A Buckingham Palace spokesperson confirmed the news of their son's arrival on Tuesday, with a statement which said: "The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Duke of York, Sarah, Duchess of York, and Mr and Mrs George Brooksbank have been informed and are delighted with the news.

"This is Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s first child, The Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York’s first grandchild, and the ninth great-grandchild for The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well."

Eugenie spent a few days in the hospital and was seen being driven home, by Jack, on Friday afternoon. We can't wait to hear what his full name will be.

It was also revealed this week that the arrival of their son means it pushes other prominent royals such as Zara Tindall and Prince Edward further down the line of succession.
