Prince Harry and British actor Orlando Bloom quickly developed a close friendship after he and Meghan Markle moved to the U.S. Now, their friendship will be put to the test as Orlando mocks Prince Harry in a new satirical HBO series about the royal family.

Prince George is the star of the new royal family series, but unlike The Crown, it follows more fiction than fact. In the trailer for the new series, we get a sneak peek at Orlando’s hilarious representation of Prince Harry.

“This might be the smallest palace I’ve ever been in,” Prince Harry (voiced by Orlando Bloom) tells the Duchess Meghan (played by Condola Rashad), who attempts to explain the concept of an apartment to her husband.

“Yes, an apartment palace. I know that,” Harry says. “Lots of tiny palaces inside one big palace.”

Prince Harry and Orlando have developed a “bromance” since the family exited the royal family. Before the two even met though, Orlando was hesitant to take on the role as he was “proud of [his] British roots” and heritage, but after some encouragement from his wife Katy Perry, he decided to take on the role.

“Actually Katy saw one bit of it and was like, ‘You’ve got to do this. This is genius,’” he told The Hollywood Reporter back in August 2020.

Now that they two have developed a closer relationship, the actor hopes that Prince Harry will appreciate the humor behind the show and know “it is done with affection.”

"This guy is so nice, and I think he's got a great sense of humor. I hope he maintains that through this because they're sort of on a pedestal. We're showing real adoration to them in one form or another," he continued. "I try to justify it, because quite frankly, if I'm honest, it's not like me to poke fun at anyone but it is done with affection."
