Royal fans are 'delighted' with Kate Middleton's new royal role for this special reason
Kate Middleton becomes Patron of the Forward Trust
Kate Middleton has become Patron of The Forward Trust—a charity supporting families and children impacted by addiction. And royal fans are "delighted" with the news.
- Kate Middleton has become patron of The Forward Trust, after they merged with Action on Addiction in May 2021.
- Action on Addiction was one of the Duchess' first patronages back in 2012.
- This follows royal news that Kate Middleton’s title will be completely different when Prince Charles becomes King.
The Duchess of Cambridge's latest patronage will see her work alongside The Forward Trust in their mission to support families and children impacted by addiction in order to end the "cycle of harm".
Kate has worked tirelessly to research and promote the importance of the earliest years of a child's life, even launching the 'early years' foundation—which is being described as her biggest royal project yet.
So it's no surprise that this latest patronage fits perfectly with where her passions lie—in giving children the best chance at having a good life from an early age.
For all of these reasons, fans are delighted with her appointment.
"You could not have chosen a better person to spearhead all the valuable vital work the trust undertakes," said one online user.
Another said, "Many congratulations to you, I know The Duchess of Cambridge will be very hands on and committed to the Trust. You couldn't have a petter Patron."

The Duchess had been a patron of Action on Addiction since 2012, and they've recently merged with The Forward Trust in a bid to strengthen their ability to meet increased demand due to the ongoing effects of lockdown.
The charities promise to continue challenging the prejudice that surrounds addiction and stops people from getting help.
On their merged mission, Kate said, "I am delighted that The Forward Trust and Action on Addiction have taken this bold step to join forces and help more people, families and children to overcome addiction.
"I have had the privilege of being Patron of Action on Addiction for nine years, and have seen the work of The Forward Trust at HMP Send on several occasions."
Having recently joined forces with Jill Biden to speak about her Early Years research, the Duchess linked back once again to her passion project in a heartfelt statement about her patronage.
"I am continually struck by the passion, expertise and commitment of the staff and volunteers, and indeed it was the conversations I had with individuals and families affected by addiction that have been a major driving force in my ongoing work on early childhood," she revealed.
"With the link between early childhood trauma and addiction later in life becoming more widely understood, it is more important than ever that we focus on these issues so that we can create a happier, healthier, more nurturing society."
