Princess Beatrice christens daughter Sienna in private ceremony
The small affair wasn't announced to the public
Princess Beatrice and husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi held a private christening ceremony for their 7-month-old daughter Sienna.
- The ceremony took place at Chapel Royal at St James' Palace, London on Friday.
- The Princess didn't announce the ceremony and instead made it a private affair with close friends and family.
- In other royal news, the Duchess of Cornwall will reveal the winner of the Queen's Jubilee Platinum pudding, along with Mary Berry.
Princess Beatrice and Edoardo announced the arrival of Sienna last September —giving birth at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, in London.
The couple have been very private about their daughter, and, unlike her sister, Eugenie, don't share any pictures on social media of Sienna.

Being such private royals it's only fitting that they had a small secret christening for Sienna. However, it is thought that Beatrice's father Prince Andrew, her mother Sarah Ferguson, and her sister Princess Eugenie were at the ceremony.
The Queen, who did attend Beatrice's small private wedding in 2020, isn't thought to have attended as she had royal duties to uphold.
Sienna, the couple's daughter, wasn't named for 12 days until after her birth, when the Royal family Twitter officially announced, "Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi have named their daughter Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi. The couple has said, 'We are all doing well and Wolfie is the best big brother to Sienna'.”

The couple also married in a private ceremony in July 2020, during the pandemic, when only a few guests were allowed at the venue.

The following September the royal family Twitter account announced her pregnancy, "Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in autumn of this year."
And if you're wondering why they choose the name Sienna, a family friend revealed earlier this year that it's a nod to not just Beatrice's mother but another striking family trait.
"They were looking for an Italian name which started with an S for Sarah, to honour the Duchess [Sarah Ferguson], and also reflected the golden rust colour of both the Duchess's hair colour and Beatrice's, which the new baby shares," they said.
