Two days after the birth of the new baby boy Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan shared their son with the world.
In St. George's Hall at Windsor Castle, just minutes from their home, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex revealed baby Archie to the world's media, posing with him in front of the cameras.
The new parents looked happy and relaxed as Prince Harry craded his first child, who looked adorable whilst sleeping in his dad's arms.
And Harry's cousin, Princess Eugenie, shared an adorable message of congratulations for Harry and Meghan after revealing their her new first cousin once-removed.
On her Instagram, she shared a picture of the new family, alongside a message saying, 'I'm just so happy for you!! 🥰@sussexroyal'.
Eugenie's fans commented to say how sweet the Princess was for her message, with one commenting, 'You are so sweet Princess Eugenie!! Little Archie is lucky to have a lovely Aunt like you!💜'
'You’re the sweetest,Eugenie❤️Happy to see a family who’s supporting each other'.
At the photocall, Meghan and Harry shared some sweet words about their newborn, with the Duchess revealing that he's so far proven to be a very calm baby - and that she feels 'really happy' to have 'the two best guys' by her side.
She said, “It’s magic, it’s pretty amazing. I have the two best guys in the world so I’m really happy. He has the sweetest temperament, he’s really calm.”
The pair then both laughed as Harry said, “I don’t know who he gets that from!"
Before Meghan told press, “He’s just been the dream, so it’s been a special couple of days.”
When asked who they think the new baby Sussex looks like, the Duchess admitted that they weren't sure yet.
Harry explained, "Everyone says that babies change so much over two weeks, we’re basically monitoring how the changing process happens over this next month really. But his looks are changing every single day, so who knows.”
Prince Harry joked later that the baby "already has a bit of facial hair" - so he may well be taking after his father at this point!
The couple were also asked how it felt to be first-time parents, with Harry admitting, “It’s great. Parenting is amazing. It’s only been two and a half days, three days, but we’re just so thrilled to have our own little bundle of joy.”
It's thought that the Duke and Duchess will be introducing their baby to the Queen and Prince Philip later this afternoon. But it seems they've already had an impromptu meeting with the Duke of Edinburgh!
At the castle, Meghan revealed,“We just bumped into the Duke as we were walking by which was so nice. So it’ll be a nice moment to introduce the baby to more family, and my mum’s with us as well.”
Later on in the day, the Duke and Duchess announced that their baby's name was Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
