It has been claimed that Prince Charles is the 'royal racist' who questioned Archie's skin color which was discussed in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Oprah interview.

  • Prince Charles has been accused of being the 'royal racist' in a new book by author Christopher Andersen titled, 'Brothers And Wives: Inside The Private Lives of William, Kate, Harry, and Meghan.'
  • Reportedly, the Prince of Wales has called in lawyers as he claims that the conversations mentioned in the book are false.
  • In other royal news, the Queen 'upset' Prince Harry 'terribly' with Christmas photograph removal.

During an interview with Oprah Winfrey earlier this year, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle revealed that shocking comments about their son's skin color were made by a member of the royal family.

It has now been alleged in a new royal book that it was in fact Prince Charles who made these comments about his grandson Archie.

Allegedly, a source told the royal author that Prince Charles asked his wife Camilla over breakfast, “I wonder what the children will look like?’’

The Duchess of Cornwall was said to be “somewhat taken aback’’ by this question and reportedly replied, “Well, absolutely gorgeous, I’m certain.’’

Prince Charles is then said to have lowered his voice and added, “I mean, what do you think their children’s complexion might be?’’

Clarence House has reportedly slammed this claim from the author. A royal spokesperson told The Sun on behalf of Prince Charles, "This is fiction and not worth further comment.”

During the Oprah interview, Meghan claimed, "In those months, when I was pregnant, all around this same time, we had in tandem the conversation of he won't be given security, he won't be given a title...and also concerns and conversations about how dark his skin will be when he's born."

Meghan added, "That was relayed to me from Harry, that was from conversations that family had with him. It was really hard to see those as compartmentalized conversations."

“That conversation I am never going to share," added Prince Harry, "but at the time it was awkward, I was in shock."

At the time, many thought that the older generation of the royal family could have been to blame for these conversations, and many fingers pointed at the Queen and the late Duke of Edinburgh.

Although Harry promised to never reveal who said this comment, he did privately tell Oprah that his grandmother, the Queen, and his late grandfather, Prince Philip, were not to blame.

Oprah told CBS This Morning, "He did not share the identity with me but he wanted to make sure I knew, and if I had an opportunity to share it, that it was not his grandmother or grandfather that were part of those conversations."

Buckingham Palace has denied the claims made in this book and a spokesperson informed The Sun, “We don’t comment on books of this kind as to do so risks giving it some form of authority or credibility.”

It is thought that Prince Charles heard about the astonishing new claims just before he set off to Barbados for an international visit to watch the realm become a republic and the Queen is removed as head of state.

Reportedly the Queen and Prince Charles feel 'sadness' and ‘regret’ over this severed tie to the monarchy, as the event is a huge snub for Her Majesty.
