Kate Middleton confided in the Queen when she struggled with motherhood
Kate Middleton opened up to the Queen about her parenting struggles when it came to her first son Prince George
Kate Middleton confided in the Queen, her grandmother-in-law, when it came to parenting struggles with her first child Prince George.
- The Queen and Kate Middleton have always had a close bond.
- It has been revealed that Kate Middleton sought advice from her majesty when it came to balancing parenting and royal duties.

In an interview for True Royal’s Kate Middleton: Heir We Go Again documentary, Katie Nicholl, a royal expert revealed that the Duchess of Cambridge relied on the Queen for advice when it came to discussions about parenting and having a nanny or not.
“Kate was having a conversation with the Queen in which she confided that she had found being with George on her own, and not having a full-time nanny or a maternity nurse, very hard," said Katie.
“William and Kate wanted to be hands-on parents, and they did it until September and then they recruited a nanny.”
The nanny that Prince William and Kate ultimately hired was Maria Borrallo, who trained at the prestigious Norland College. Norland is famous as a higher education provider that offers a BA in Early Years Development and Learning as well as the prestigious Norland Diploma and its graduates have long since been popular with the royals.
Maria is still a nanny for the Duke and Duchess and now cares for all three of the royal couple's children.
She has strict rules in place and it was even recently revealed that Prince William and Kate Middleton's nanny has banned a certain four-letter word as a sign of respect to the royal children.

Katie went on to say that alongside the presence of a nanny, Kate and William rely heavily on Kate's family.
“One of the things that allow William and Kate to be so ordinary is the presence of the Middletons in their lives," said Katie.
This statement has been echoed by various royal insiders who claim that the Middletons are Prince William’s ‘anchor’ and provide a ‘sense of normality for the royal couple and their children.
Katie continued to say, “Carole is a regular through those golden gates at Kensington Palace, she whizzes through in her Land Rover. There is no security because everybody knows her."
"She turns up to help with bedtime and bath time. She is absolutely indispensable,” Katie concluded.
Kate has remained close with her parents and they are regularly seen spending time together. Just a few months ago, Kate Middleton and her father were seen at Wimbledon together.
Happily, it appears the royal couple is able to rely on both sides of their supportive family and Kate has both strong relationships with her inlaws and immediate family.
