This weekend is going to be a busy one in the Middleton household. Not only will Carole Middleton and Michael Middleton be celebrating Father’s Day on Sunday, but it’s also the couple’s 40th wedding anniversary on Sunday 21 June.
Despite the country still being in lockdown, we’re sure the Middletons will find a way to mark the big day together (opens in new tab), perhaps with a barbecue or picnic outside, should the weather be kind to us.
The couple will also be celebrating Michael’s 71st birthday on Tuesday 23rd June.
Catherine’s parents married on 21st June, 1980, at St James's Parish Church in Dorney, Buckinghamshire.
As a tribute to the couple’s enduring marriage, we thought we’d take a trip down memory lane back to when the couple first met in the 1980s.
How did Carole Middleton and Michael Middleton meet?
The couple met when they both worked as ground crew for British Airways. Micheal was then promoted to flight dispatcher and Carole became a flight attendant.
The couple welcomed Catherine in 1982, followed by younger sister Pippa in 1983 and their third child and only son, James Middleton, in 1987.
