Bridgerton's Rege-Jean Page jokes about his new 'sex symbol' status on Saturday Night Live sketch
The actor made fun of himself on the show

We all fell for Rege-Jean Page's character the Duke Of Hastings, with his alluring looks and lashings of confidence, when he starred in Netflix's runaway success Bridgerton.
Now the actor has appeared on Saturday Night Live - joking about his character's sex-symbol status in a hilarious sketch.
Rege-Jean, 31, was hosting the US show for the first time last night, as he switched into character for the funny performance.

The actor, who has found overnight success, since Bridgerton became a worldwide phenomenon, watched by 82 million, is known for playing the heartthrob and also for the very racy love scenes in the show.
Starting his sketch on the show he gave a nod to the sex scenes, by saying: “The show that made everyone turn to their mums and say, ‘you know what, never mind, I don’t think we should watch this together.”
The actor, who has also starred as a lawyer in For the People, was joined on stage by SNL hosts Aidy Bryant and Ego Nwodim, who pretended to be fans - getting hot and bothered by his appearance.

The star went on to say: "It's a bit of a racy show. And because of that, people may associate me being this smoldering, sexual smoke show. But I assure you, I'm just a regular guy."
However, the actor then gave a smoldering look at the camera and added: "I'm here to show you a good time and explore each other. Does that sound fun to you?" While the crowd cheered.
He later re-enacted one of the love scenes from the TV series, with SNL host Chloe Fineman playing Daphne. The funny scene showed the couple on a bed, while he went on to say one of the most famous lines from the show: "I burn for you, Daphne."
Based on the bestselling Bridgerton series by author Julia Quinn, the Netflix drama has had viewers hooked from the very first episode. Last month it was also revealed that filming for the series two of Bridgeton will take place this spring.
