The beauty trick Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge uses during royal video calls revealed
Who would’ve thought she’d do this?

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge has been undertaking a greater number of video calls as the effects of the pandemic continue and now some have claimed she uses a certain beauty trick for her video appearances.
- A royal expert has claimed that the Duchess of Cambridge uses a special technique when conducting video calls.
- Duchess Catherine has also reportedly “become more confident” in front of the camera.
- In other Royal News, it's been revealed how the Queen uses secret signals to help bring conversations to a close.
Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, along with many other members of the Royal Family, including the Queen herself, has been increasingly relying on video calls over recent months. With the ongoing effects of the pandemic and the UK’s third lockdown making it impossible to conduct in-person royal engagements, video calls are a brilliant way for the royals to carry out their important duties.
It’s understood that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been spending lockdown at their Norfolk home, Anmer Hall, with their three children.
And it seems that when it comes to making her virtual appearances slightly better lit despite the home setting, Duchess Catherine may have adopted a certain technique.
More from woman&home:
According to Vanity Fair’s Katie Nicholl: “She has set up a DIY shoot location at Anmer Hall in Norfolk, where the Cambridges are spending the lockdown, and apparently has a special stand for her laptop and a ring light to ensure the shot is well lit.”
She explained that: “For the most part William and Kate have become self-sufficient at working from home, filming their virtual engagements by themselves”, though they are thought to have their own videographer.

‘Sources close to the Duchess say that Kate has become more confident in front of the camera and has learned to enjoy rather than dread video calls”, Ms. Nicholl also revealed.
She went on to share that Vanity Fair had also been told that the Duchess “chooses her own outfits” and does her own hair and make-up.
This comes after the Duchess of Cambridge recently took part in several video calls, with clips being posted on the official Kensington Royal Instagram page.

Just last week, Duchess Catherine spoke with fellow parents about the challenges lockdown has posed to families. As part of this heartfelt video appearance, she also revealed a particularly sweet insight into her relationship with Prince William.
When asked to write the name of the person who had been the greatest support to them during this time, Duchess Catherine revealed that her husband had been hers.
With the UK’s lockdown not set to lift until at least mid-February, we might have to wait a little longer to see the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge conducting royal engagements in person.
But we can’t wait to get a glimpse of their next insightful video appearances!
