The Queen’s private estate is looking at providing homes and jobs to Ukrainian refugees. Prince Charles is also reported to be looking at doing the same at his Dumfries House estate in Ayrshire.

New reports have suggested that both Her Majesty and Prince Charles are contemplating how they can privately offer housing and jobs to refugees coming into Great Britain as new legislation is drawn up to allow refugees to work in the country for up to three years.
The inspiring gesture of the Royal Family follows a move by rural estates in Scotland offering accommodation and employment to people coming in from Ukraine.
Scottish Land & Estates (SLE), which represents rural businesses, said more than 40 estates had volunteered to help those fleeing war and arriving in Scotland.
The organization is said to have approached the Queen’s Highland estate of Balmoral to see if she could do something similar with her land.
A spokesperson for the Royal Household confirmed, “The Royal Household is looking at a number of ways to offer practical help and support.”

Prince Charles has also leapt in to offer aid.
Charles is said to be looking at finding spaces on his Dumfries House estate in Ayrshire as well as sites across his Duchy of Cornwall holdings, which include a number of holiday homes.
Dumfries House has also turned left over parts of a massive patchwork mosaic featuring more than 9,000 hand-knitted squares unveiled by Prince Charles and Camilla into 60 blankets to help refugees fleeing the war in Ukraine.
It is also believed that Prince William and Kate Middleton are involved in discussions on how to offer more aid.
“It is an immeasurable tragedy that so much death and destruction exists around the world at this present time, leading to such utter misery for so many people who have to leave their countries like you have.” pic.twitter.com/jtb0ixjU8RMarch 9, 2022
A source told The Mail on Sunday, “All the households are united in this —the Queen, Charles and William—with all three agreed that they should find a practical way to help Ukrainian refugees.”
“It means looking at accommodation options in England, including the Duchy of Cornwall, where Charles has a lot of holiday homes, and Scotland, where he has Dumfries House and the Queen has her Balmoral estate.”
It is also reported that William and Kate have offered to use their Royal Foundation to provide support for Ukrainians with mental health problems after the horrors they have witnessed.
