Princess Eugenie cancels August’s christening this weekend
Princess Eugenie has been forced to cancel her son August Brooksbank’s christening celebration

Princess Eugenie planned to host her son August Philip Hawke Brooksbank’s baptism this weekend but has had to reschedule due to the pandemic.
- Princess Eugenie’s newborn son’s christening has been cancelled.
- The royal event won't take place due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
- In other royal news, this is why baby Lilibet’s christening will be a key indicator amidst royal ‘rift’
Princess Eugenie's son August was set to be christened at the Royal Chapel of All Saints in Windsor on Saturday 17th July.
The ceremony has reportedly been canceled as one of the guests was instructed to self-isolate, meaning the event for the five-month-old has been called off.
It's currently unknown who the guest self-isolating is but it was reported that the various members of the royal family, including the Queen, were due to attend the event.
Princess Eugenie's sister Princess Beatrice, who recently announced she is pregnant in a heart warming post, was also expected to attend the event for her nephew.
Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank announced their son’s birth on social media earlier this year. The couple then announced on 20th February that Princess Eugenie named her baby boy August Philip in sweet tribute to Duke of Edinburgh.
The couple announced on Instagram, “We wanted to introduce you to August Philip Hawke Brooksbank."
“Thank you for so many wonderful messages. Our hearts are full of love for this little human, words can't express. We are excited to be able to share these photos with you."
"Thank you to the wonderful essential workers including our midwife who came to discharge our boy.”

Since the baby's birth, royal fans can't help but notice baby August's resemblance to the Queen in photos that have been released by Princess Eugenie and her husband.
"I hope this doesn’t sound silly, but I can see our Queen in August," one wrote.
"I thought same thing! He has the Queen’s eyes!" another commented, while a third added in, "I thought the same when I saw his eyes!"

Another date for the christening has yet to be publicly confirmed by the royal couple.
It is thought that when the event can take place, the couple will likely hold a private family ceremony in Windsor, as they originally planned.
In the UK, Freedom Day was confirmed by Boris Johnson who announced that from the 19th July lockdown will ease and events such as christenings will be able to go ahead without strict limits on the number of guests.
