Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice’s relationship with Prince William is reportedly “struggling” after a major royal “disgrace”, an expert has claimed.

  • Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice are said to be finding it challenging to remain “cordial” with their cousin Prince William.
  • A royal expert has claimed it “stems” from the decision for their father Prince Andrew not to continue carrying out royal duties in recent years.
  • This royal news comes as we revealed why Sarah Ferguson got to keep her wedding tiara.

The extended Royal Family reunited in honor of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee earlier this year, delighting fans with their appearances at everything from the Platinum Pageant to a Service of Thanksgiving. Though the 2022 Trooping the Color parade saw only the working royals standing on the Buckingham Palace balcony alongside the Queen. This meant that Prince William was the only one of her grandchildren there, though his cousin Princess Beatrice was pictured looking out the palace windows that day.

Now it’s been claimed by royal expert Neil Sean that she and her sister Princess Eugenie are “seemingly struggling” to maintain a “cordial” relationship with the future King.

As reported by Express.co.uk, Neil Sean has suggested that it’s apparently all down to the decision for their father Prince Andrew to step back from royal duties.

"There is a big story breaking in the Royal Family that has remained under the radar largely, and it's to do with Prince William, the Duchess of Cambridge, and William's father Prince Charles,” Sean is understood to have claimed.

He went on to allege, "According to very good sources, Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice are seemingly struggling to remain cordial with Prince William, Catherine, and Charles. It stems from the deal organised by William, the Queen, and Prince Charles to remove their father Prince Andrew from royal duties following his disgrace in recent years."

The Duke of York stepped back from royal duties in November 2019 after the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. Earlier this year, Prince Andrew’s reported anger towards Princes Charles and William was revealed and it was claimed Prince Andrew was excluded from the Garter Day ceremony after his brother and nephew’s intervention.

Royal expert Sean has expressed his belief that whilst the eldest of the Queen’s children and his heir have supposedly acted for the “benefit of the monarchy” in recent times, this could have caused upset between them and the Yorks.

“The thawing between the two families has been difficult,” he stated. "Prince William and Charles are doing this for the benefit of the monarchy. They are reading the public mood, which is saying that Andrew should permanently retire from public life.

"But Andrew wants to make a return which he thinks could be achieved by his daughters carrying out charitable work."

As the Queen’s grandchildren the York sisters are prominent members of the Royal Family, though they aren’t working royals. The reports of Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice's relationship with Prince William "struggling" comes as it was previously predicted that Prince Charles wants to “cut down” the Royal Family.

"Prince Charles has wanted for a very long time to cut the monarchy down to save costs and to make people be worth the money that they got from the taxpayer,” royal biographer Angela Levin once told talkRADIO.

If this does indeed prove to be correct then it’s thought unlikely that either Princess Beatrice or Princess Eugenie will take on greater royal roles when Prince Charles is King and Prince William becomes Prince of Wales.
