Kate Middleton dressed stylishly for the first day of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations, donning an Alexander McQueen coat dress, which she previously wore last summer.

Whether you're watching the Platinum Jubilee on TV or you're lucky enough to be witnessing it in person you may have noticed Kate's stylish outfit as she waves from the horse-drawn carriage.

Dressed in a white long-sleeved collared Alexander McQueen coat dress for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations this bank holiday you may recognize it from a previous royal outing. Kate wore the £3,000 dress last summer at the Eden Project for G7 reception.

Kate paired her sleek dress with a blue and white Phillip Treacy hat and one of her accessories was a sweet nod to her late mother-in-law.

The Duchess of Cambridge wore Princess Diana's diamond and sapphire earrings - jewellery the princess wore on a royal visit to Canada in 1983.

Today's celebrations mark the Queen's Jubilee history and have already included the Trooping of the Colour, and later will show the whole royal family on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

Of course, Kate isn't shy about recycling her looks but normally opts for dresses, while the Duchess has go-to fashion brands for her dresses and undisputed classic styles.

The royal also wore her hair in a stylish plaited bun to show off Princess Diana's earrings, which were gifted to her by Prince William on their wedding day and her sapphire necklace.

The Duchess of Cambridge was joined by stepmother-in-law Camilla, who was dressed in a blue suit dress and hat. In the carriage opposite them were Princess Charlotte, who was dressed in a floaty blue dress and Prince George, dressed in a very smart suit. In between them sat a very excited Prince Louis, who, along with his brother and sister waved to the crowd.

Kate and William started off today's celebration on Twitter by saying, "We're looking forward to celebrating and seeing how you're joining us in marking this #PlatinumJubilee weekend."
