The Duchess of Cambridge is no stranger to taking a turn in the kitchen having previously revealed that "William has to put up with my cooking most of the time", as she tucked into a five-course gala dinner at Houghton Hall.
And while showing off her culinary prowess alongside husband Prince William as they helped to prepare meals in the lead up to Commonwealth Big Lunch, Catherine also let slip about the meal that Prince George and Princess Charlotte love both eating and helping to prepare.
Speaking to community centre user, Yolanda from Bolivia, the Duchess revealed, “I have done that with George and Charlotte, making pizza dough. They love that, don’t they? Because they can get their hands messy.”
And it seems its a case of like father, like son and daughter when it comes to the family’s foodie tastes as the Duke of Cambridge also confessed to being a fan of Italian cuisine, “I like Italian, pasta, and pizza, really love pizza.”
William also told kitchen staff that he ‘really loved curries’, and with wife Catherine due to give birth to the couple’s third baby next month, the ability to cook up spicy dishes – said to help labour along its way – could well come in handy!
And if the Duke doesn’t have the energy to whip up a meal for the family of four, there’s always the option of a takeaway.
During a Radio 1 interview last year the Duchess revealed that the royal couple did order takeaways and that curry was “definitely” a firm favourite.
With a Kensington Palace spokesman confirming that the public engagement will be the Duchess’s last before starting her maternity leave, we can just imagine Catherine and William enjoying a cosy night in with a tasty meal at Apartment 1A as they count down to delivery day.
We’ll be keeping an eagle eye out on the page dedicated to the royal baby for updates, so watch this space!
