Duchess Camilla has been praised for a sweet gesture. Prince Charles’ wife made an important move amid the royal crisis.

Duchess Camilla has been praised for highlighting an important cause.

The royal, who is married to heir apparent Prince Charles, apparently donated to a charitable appeal that is supporting those affected by the fires over in Australia.

Wildfires have been blazing in the south-east of the country since September, wiping out wildlife and properties and devastating lives throughout the area.

So the Duchess decided to help towards the cause by donating to an appeal for those affected.

Australian non-profit organisation GIVIT, which launched the charitable appeal for the fires, took to their Twitter page to reveal that Duchess’s generous ways.

Alongside a glowing picture of the Duchess, the organisation praised the royal, writing, ‘Thank you to The Duchess of Cornwall for embracing GIVIT’s way of giving to help bushfire-affected Australians.

This comes after Prince Charles spoke out about he and Duchess Camilla had been ‘in despair’ over the devastation in Australia.

“My wife and myself are thinking of you so very much at such a difficult time and in such impossible and terrifying circumstances,” he said in a video on Instagram.

“I did want to say that both of us have been in despair over the last several weeks,” he continued, “watching this appalling horror unfolding in Australia and witnessing so much of what you’re having to go through from this distance, those of you who have tragically lost your properties, your houses, everything”.

“We both know, just how incredibly special and resilient the Australian people are,” finished the future King. “So I know at the end of the day despite all this horror, you will find a way to face it all and win through and all I can say is that we are thinking of you, we are praying for you in the most determined way.

“I’m very proud to know you all.”
