Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid revealed this morning that she made the most of hair salons opening up this weekend.

And it looks as if, just like the rest of us, Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid was desperate to get a fresh post lockdown trim after letting her locks grow out for nearly four months over the coronavirus lockdown.

So with salons opening up on the weekend, as part of what came to be known as Super Saturday with bars and restaurants opening alongside the salons, Susanna headed down to her stylist for a gorgeous post-lockdown hair transformation.

Sharing the exciting trip with her over 500,000 followers, the TV star posted a side-by-side transformation photo on her Instagram page this morning, after presenting her three-hour Good Morning Britain segment with co-host Piers Morgan.

Assuring fans that she had been properly wearing a mask when she got her hair cut, the ITV star tagged hairdresser Richard Ward in her snap, the same stylist who takes care of Duchess Catherine’s gorgeous locks.

Hair? Cut,’ she wrote alongside her Instagram post, which raked up thousands of likes in just a couple of hours.

During this morning’s show, Susanna’s Good Morning Britain co-presenter Piers Morgan revealed to viewers that he had also got his hair cut over the weekend.

The controversial presenter complimented his longtime co-host, who he is known to sweetly refer to as his work wife, before opening up on his experience at the salon.

Speaking to Susanna and ITV’s resident medical expert Dr Hilary Jones, Piers revealed that he was quite alarmed at being presented with a thermometer when he first arrived at the barbershop.

"The first sight was [a thermometer] and that was a bit dramatic,” he told the ITV pair.

“All of it is an interesting experience, they all had visors on and gloves,” he continued. “I was encouraged to wear a mask and gloves inside”.
