Sharon Stone is supported by celebrity friends after announcing her 11-month-old nephew’s tragic death

Sharon Stone revealed that her nephew and godson River Stone has passed away just days before his 1st birthday

Sharon Stone took to social media to announce that her 11-month-old nephew, who was just a week away from turning one, has died after he was found with ‘total organ failure.’

Sharon Stone has taken to social media to announce the sad passing of her young nephew River. Days before the little boy's passing, Sharon shared an image of River being treated at a hospital. 

At the time, the actress said, “My nephew and godson River Stone was found in his crib w total organ failure today. Please pray for him. We need a miracle.”

Sharon is the godmother and aunt to the late River Stone. The young boy was the youngest son of Sharon's younger brother Patrick.

Of Sharon's three siblings, Patrick was her younger brother who lives with his wife Tasha in Ohio with their children.

The couple has not announced why their son was suffering total organ failure or why this led him to fall into a coma ahead of his passing on Monday.

Sharon has now announced that the young boy passed on August 30th. The star posted a video tribute to her nephew on Instagram and captioned the post, "River William Stone, Sept. 8, 2020—Aug. 30, 2021."

Many of Sharon Stone's celebrity friends have rushed to support the actress and her family during this difficult time. Former coworkers and colleagues of the star have commented with their support underneath the post she made about River's death.

Actor Billy Porter commented on this post, "So sorry for your loss. Sending you all the love and peace that’s possible."

Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice star, Kate Walsh, commented, "I’m so sorry @sharonstone sending u love & strength"

Andie Macdowell who starred alongside Sharon in the 1999 comedy The Muse commented, "😢😢😢I’m so sorry lord." 

Broadway legend Kristen Chenoweth commented, "He is a precious angel in God's arms right now!"

"I’m so sorry. Deep heartfelt prayers for your family. 🙏🏽" said Million Dollar Baby actress Hilary Swank. 

Sharon's briefly starred in Will and Grace as Dr. Georgia Keller, the lead cast from this television show also shared their support with the star. 

Sean Hayes, said, "Ugh. I’m sitting here in tears. I’m so sorry, Sharon. What a beautiful boy. Sending all my love to you and your family. ❤️😢" Debra Messing also commented, "Noooooooooooooo. I am in disbelief. Oh Sharon, there are no words, other than I’m so sorry for your whole family’s loss. I am praying for all of you at this unimaginable time."
