In recent photos on the Ab Fab set, Jennifer Saunder's character Edina was spotted wearing a pinstripe Vivienne Westwood skirt suit with a contrasting blouse and tie in regal purple, finished off with a sparkly brooch announcing: 'Reality TV makes me sad'. Meanwhile, Joanna Lumley's Patsy exudes glamour in a pair of peep-toe Balenciaga's, worth a reported £745, with a killer red lip and matching coat.
Looking great ladies! To celebrate the film - which will be released on 1 July 2016 - we have found five absolutely fabulous things about Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie.
We just can't wait, sweetie darling.
1. Old tricks
The movie's plot is almost as outrageous as Eddy's ever-changing wardrobe. A press release for the film tells w&h that Eddy and Patsy are "still oozing glitz and glamour, living the high life they are accustomed to; shopping, drinking and clubbing their way around London's trendiest hotspots." However, the pair end up at the centre of a storm over an incident at a fashionable party, and are chased out of the country by paparazzi. They flee to the French Riviera (where else?) to try and live the high life in the playground of the super-wealthy.
2. Saffy's back!
Eddy and Patsy are back in fine fettle as the most feckless, rude, booze-drenched, drug addled women to never have a proper job. And Eddy's daughter Saffy is as long-suffering as ever - she now has a stroppy teenage daughter to contend with, as well as her stroppy, petulant mother. Poor old Saffy, always drawing the short straw.
3. The cast is amazing
Kate Moss, Cara Delevingne, Rebel Wilson, Joan Collins, Kim Kardashian West, Peep Show's Robert Webb and Spice Girl Emma Bunton join Joanna Lumley, Jennifer Saunders, Jane Horrocks, Julia Sawalha, June Whitfield and Dawn French on screen.
4. Dead famous
Mossy was recently spotted filming a scene for the movie wearing a gorgeous green sequinned gown by the banks of the Thames - champagne flute in hand and with designer Jean Paul Gaultier on one arm...naturally. People snooping on the filming process also spotted flowers laid on the Thames Embankment for the famous model, with drawings of Kate and flowers laid in her memory - we wonder what happened that fateful day down by the river...
5. Red-carpet royalty
The film will also include the red carpet to end all red carpets. Spotted on set for a fictional film premiere were Jerry Hall, Lily Cole, Gwendoline Christie, ITV showbiz reporter Richard Arnold, Cathy Burke, Celia Imrie and Wee Jimmy Krankie.
Isa Jaward is a journalist from London who has written for the likes of Time Out, The Guardian and Music Week.
