Hosting a seasonal party? From organising egg hunts for the family to cooking the Easter roast, it can be easy to feel overwrought during the four-day weekend.

In fact, a survey from Premier Inn found that 94% of Brits experience burnout during the long weekend, trying to fit all the activities in and sacrificing sleep.

Did you get 'You smash like an egg'?

This suggests you can go to pieces easily. But there are tips that can really help you survive a stressful Easter.

  • Keep calm - You'll think more clearly, says John Lees, author of Secrets of Resilient People. Go for a 10-minute walk to clear your head.
  • Believe in yourself - "Visualise doing things you find hard", says John.
  • Box up your worries - "Worrying is counterproductive," says John. "Think of the worst-case scenario - then put it to one side."

Did you get 'Phew, you're a fighter'?

You try to take a practical approach - but you might find yourself storing up stress internally. Here's how to help:

  • Start talking - People with stamina to survive share the load with others. Talk to friends when times are tough, they might have solutions for dealing with your issues.
  • Accept what you can't change - "Ask yourself if things really matter", says John.
  • Have fun - You tend to avoid difficult feelings, which can mean you go into isolation. Simply being around others can put problems into perspective.

Did you get 'You feel your feelings'?

You tend to understand it's OK to feel upset or angry, and you know you'll move on faster if you let yourself feel those.

  • Don't rush - Just because you normally move on fairly quickly, it doesn't mean you will every time.
  • Know your breaking point - While you may handle difficult situations well, if they all pile up then check in with yourself. Don't be afraid to ask for help
  • Be grateful - Writing a gratitude list, especially over the holiday period, can help to keep your upbeat attitude intact.
