Brunch is that coveted time of day, halfway between breakfast and lunch, that takes what’s best about both meals for a really special treat. Eggs, pancakes, French toast, bacon, maple syrup, sweet and savoury – anything goes when it comes to brunch. Here, we’ve picked out some of the best places that we’ve had brunch around the UK and we will keep adding to the list as we discover more in new locations.

Why? The ‘speciality breakfasts’ at Thyme Out are what really set this place apart. The eggs cocotte, in particular are a real treat and the most elegant way to start the day. The brunch menu is endless, leaving you spoilt for choice.

Why? For a classic brunch menu with some lovely little twists and a sophisticated setting, Bourne & Hollingsworth Buildings is the go-to place. Plus, we can’t refuse their bottomless Bloody Mary!

Why? Nothing cures a hangover on the weekend like American-style brunch. With its delightful seafront location, The New Club is a trendy place to dine, and good news for vegans – they offer a tasty vegan full English breakfast.

Why? Whether you fancy a bacon butty, full breakfast or eggs Florentine, you’ll be taken care of at Rosemarino and if the weather permits then it’s also great for alfresco dining!
