This Marks & Spencer Easter egg is infused with prosecco - and it's only £5

Prosecco

If you think you know what kind of Easter egg you would like to treat yourself with this year, you might find yourself reconsidering when you hear what Marks and Spencer is offering.

The popular food retailer is selling a prosecco flavoured Easter egg.

And if that’s not enough of a novelty, the egg is also pink in colour. How funky!

Marks and Spencer has really gone all out this year and the retailer hasn't disappointed customers when it comes to the egg’s name either by naming it ‘Proseggo Egg.’ We have to hand it to them…

And you’ll be pleased to hear this boozy treat is only £5, what a steal! So you don't have to splash out to enjoy this fun creation!

The hand decorated hollow Easter egg is flavoured with berry and prosecco, making this fabulous egg fruity as well as boozy. Sounds delicious!

The Marks & Spencer Easter egg is available in stores now, and we expect the Proseggo Egg will be a huge hit - so we wouldn’t recommend hanging about if you want to celebrate Easter with a spot of fizz infused chocolate this year!

Katy Patino, Marks and Spencer Easter Egg Developer, said, “This year’s egg collection is possibly my favourite ever. I absolutely love the new, on trend, Proseggo egg which is a luxury milk chocolate egg infused with raspberry, blackcurrant and prosecco! At just £5 you can treat your loved ones to that touch of luxury without breaking the bank.”

For chocoholics who love prosecco, this really is a dream come true.

This is not the first time Marks and Spencer has combined food with alcohol with their lemon, gin and tonic sauce proving very popular on Pancake Day.

The egg has been described as ‘stuff of dreams’ on social media and we can hardly say we are surprised.

If you’d rather enjoy your chocolate and prosecco separately, Marks and Spencer is also selling a prosecco and mini Belgian chocolate eggs set for only £20.

Do you think the prosecco and chocolate combination is a match made in heaven?

Easter treats just got a little more interesting...
