When a woman imagines her perfect wardrobe, it often consists of what we would call ‘timeless pieces’; those items that you fell in love with at first sight, that fit perfectly and that work for almost any occasion. British style icon Alexa Chung is no different – and despite some of the world’s most famous fashion houses clamouring to lend her clothes, she’s spent the past few months working with British high street favourite Marks & Spencer to create a collection that’s so classic and coveted, even the fashion elite are desperate to get their hands on it.
Alexa created her ‘Archive by Alexa’ collection using the M&S Company Archive in Leeds (which charts over 130 years of M&S – from Penny Bazaar to its current day) to create a carefuly curated 31-piece collection. Of course, Alexa Chung’s unique style has been incorporated into the modern fabrics with a new colour palette and a contemporary edge, and the result is what every woman wants: a collection of those much-coveted timeless pieces.
Speaking of the collaboration, Alexa says: “I have aways had an affection for Marks & Spencer. I am thrilled to be part of this special and unique project. There was something very touching about looking back through the British fashion and social history for which M&S is synonymous.”
