If you're currently on the hunt for the best slippers for women you'll probably spend plenty of time considering the pros and cons of various brands and styles, however, these high street mules are an affordable option that won't leave you disappointed. With an extremely accessible price point, a soft faux-fur lining, and hidden support I would recommend this style any day, especially if you're shopping on a budget.
Of course you might be considering premium, investment pieces such as the UGG Tasman slippers, or real shearling slippers including the FitFlop sliders. But, if you're looking for a more affordable alternative that still delivers on warmth and comfort, this M&S mules will be just right for you.

These cosy slippers have a soft faux fur lining for extra warmth. These are a brilliant, affordable, option that are easy to wear all day long. They feature a slip-on style and hidden support to make wearing them an absolute breeze.
M&S Mule Slippers with Secret Support: Comfort & Support
After wearing these M&S mule slippers for a few weeks, I can confidently say that they are one of the best affordable slippers on the high street. Whilst they are a simple pair of slip-ons, the hidden support does make a difference in the wearing experience.
Unlike some mule slippers that can feel completely flat, these actually provide a small amount of cushioning, which makes them wearable all day. They also feature hidden support with concealed arches that mould into the soles of your feet.
The faux fur lining is another standout feature for me, offering a soft and cosy feel that's perfect for wearing around the house. The material is plush without feeling too thick, which means that you could easily wear these through the warmer months too—another bonus!
Most importantly, they are incredibly easy to wear due to the open-back design, which means you can slip them on in seconds, something I've noticed I've been doing more often than not whilst working from home.
M&S Mule Slippers with Secret Support: Style
These slippers are intentionally simple and are definitely not designed to be statement footwear, however, they are understated and feel effortlessly chic. I mainly wore mine with laid-back barrel leg jeans, or comfortable gym leggings whilst around the house and working from home. Or in the evening I pair them with some soft cotton pyjamas to cosy up on the sofa, and they are simply perfect for this occasion!
I opted for the grey pair, however, there are other colourways, including a rich oatmeal and a dark navy, that are just as easy to wear. There is also a cream and navy patterned version—practically the same slipper but with a more rustic aesthetic, almost like something you'd pick up from a chic countryside boutique—so if you're after a stylish take on this cosy essential, these might be the best pick for you.
M&S Mule Slippers with Secret Support: Cleaning
Whilst there are plenty of slippers on the market at the moment that you can wear outdoors, I would recommend only wearing these indoors. Although they do have rubber soles, I wouldn't recommend wearing them outside beyond your garden or a quick trip to the shops, as they will mark easily.
For light cleaning and care, I would keep it simple and use a soft, damp cloth to wipe away any small scuffs or marks. However, a brilliant feature of these slippers is that they are machine washable at 40°C or under, making it extremely straightforward for cleaning the whole shoe.
Mule Slippers with Secret Support: Verdict
Overall, if you're looking for an easy-to-wear, comfortable, and affordable pair of slippers, these are a fantastic option. They offer subtle support—something you don't always get at the price point—while the faux fur lining is soft and cosy enough to keep your feet warm without feeling too thick or bulky. They're easy to slip on, and they are perfect for lounging at home or for indoor tasks.
For £19.50, they're an effortless, budget-friendly choice that feels far more premium than the price suggests—I'm sold!
