M&S revives the St Michael label we grew up wearing - the nostalgic details in the new collaboration will make you smile
Prices start at just £10
M&S always has so much going on. From appointing their Chief Compliments Officer, Gillian Anderson, a few months ago, to launching Levi's denim just last week, keeping up with all their new collections is certainly keeping us busy. It's a tough job, but somebody's got to do it!
But I think the latest launch is my favourite. Landing online today, the British clothing brand has teamed up with streetwear specialists Aries to create a limited-edition 26-piece capsule collection that brings back the iconic St Michael label we all knew and loved growing up.
The collaboration includes both menswear and womenswear, and features tailoring, T-shirts and accessories. Top of everyone's list is bound to be the modern reimagining of the iconic St Michael green carrier bag in soft green leather, which immediately transports me back to the 90s.
The collection is inspired by the M&S archives and cleverly nods to the brand's history. Coin motifs are a reference to the Penny Bazaar beginnings, and there's even an adorable little Spencer Bear keyring.

We're hurtling towards peak jeans and blazer season, and this jacket is a very chic way to refresh this classic formula for 2026. There's also a pair of matching trousers available if you really want to get suited and booted.
These are already selling fast, so don't wait if you're keen to try the jeans. They're 100% cotton so there's no stretch to them, and they're available in a limited size range. The dark wash is spot on for the new season, and they'll pair perfectly with loafers.
This just went straight to the top of my knitwear wishlist, which might surprise you to learn is already very long considering it's still so warm! Size up for a loose fit, then pair with some straight-leg jeans and ballet flats for the transition from summer to autumn.
A great layering piece for autumn, this striped shirt is available in white or a taupe colour. Wear it with the matching shorts while it's still hot, then pair it with denim underneath knitwear when the temperature drops.
Maddy Evans, M&S Womenswear Director, said of the collaboration: "Whilst Aries and M&S come from different corners of the fashion world, both brands have built strong identities through distinctive design codes and a loyal following. Bringing those worlds together created an opportunity to offer something familiar yet entirely fresh, translating Aries' iconic creative handwriting through the lens of St Michael and making it accessible to a broader audience at a high-street price point"
Sofia Prantera, Founder and Creative Director of Aries, added: "Growing up, M&S was part of family life. Every summer we would visit from Italy, and it was where I bought my lambswool jumpers. Working with the archive brought back a lot of those memories.
"Some of my favourite pieces in the collection come from personal references. Spencer Bear was gifted to me by my grandmother when I was a child, so it was fun to reintroduce him in an unexpected way. The collaboration gave us an opportunity to revisit things that felt genuinely familiar and look at them through a different lens.

"M&S is a true British institution that has played a role in so many people's lives and memories. To be invited to work with such an iconic brand, and to bring our own perspective to its heritage, has been a real privilege"
