Poppy red is officially the colour of the season, according to M&S’s seriously chic new sports luxe drop
Those side-stripe joggers are bound to sell out first
If you're in need of some new season style inspiration, look no further than M&S. This month's Love That Drop has just landed online, and it's all about sports luxe styles in a vibrant shade of poppy red.
There are the Adidas-style joggers that would make Sporty Spice proud, the autumn-ready red parka that's already flying off the shelves and a striped rugby shirt that I might have just bought for myself...
We've really been admiring M&S' jacket collection lately, and the red windbreaker is an impressive new addition. Red is undoubtedly the standout colour of the collection, which is in line with our autumn/winter fashion colour trends predictions, but you'll also find plenty of complementary colours like grey, camel, black and white if head-to-toe red isn't for you.

These are just like the leg-elongating joggers you find at ME+EM, but for £36, they're a real bargain. These are available in four different leg lengths, so there's no danger of them dragging along the floor, and they've got a super comfortable elastic waistband.
I guarantee this will work so hard in your autumn capsule wardrobe. It works beautifully with camel colours, but will pair effortlessly with blue denim or black tailoring, too. It will look amazing peaking out from underneath a classic trench coat!
If the heatwaves have made you bored of shorts and linen trousers, this midi skirt will get you all set for the new season. The minimalist design and elevated buckle detail make me think of Cos, and like the best M&S jeans, this skirt is available in several lengths.
Poppy red is having a real moment right now, and M&S has just made a very convincing case for adding the bold shade to your autumn wardrobe, even if you normally shy away from bright colours.
If red is new to you, try adding a pop of poppy by teaming the rugby shirt with your favourite blue denim and loafers. Alternatively, the joggers will be a refreshing substitute for jeans, and will work with everything from a crisp white shirt for the office to a T-shirt and comfortable sandals for sunny weekends.
