The Supers Show Us The New Designers At Debenhams Collections

Debenhams is well known for its affordable designer ranges but, this season, they’ve got the seal of approval from not one, not two, but three supermodels. Yasmin Le Bon is the newest ambassador for Nine by Savannah Miller, whilst Helena Christensen continues as the face of Principles by Ben De Lisi and Eva Herzigova models the latest Star by Julien MacDonald collection. Read on to find out what you’ll be wearing this autumn and learn the styling secrets of the original supermodels…

Although she typically opts for an understated look, Eva Herzigova says that
she is a big fan of the ’80s inspired cuts which feature in the new Star
by Julien MacDonald
collection and “would wear [them] for sure”. The
43-year-old model enjoys playing with colour combinations but says that
“a great pair of tailored trousers and a jacket, a beautifully cut
shirt, cashmere sweater and comfy heels” are all you need.

Helena Christensen, 47, who models the classic yet playful new
collection for Principles by Ben De Lisi, says that her five wardrobe
essentials are “the perfect bra, a big soft cardigan, a vintage dress,
high waisted jeans and an old sweatshirt with the sleeves cut off”. The
style icon’s own inspiration comes from Frida Kahlo, “for her eclectic, poetic and colourful
style”, Jean Seberg, “for her tomboy elegance”, and Marilyn Monroe, “for
feminine ’50s glamour”.

Yasmin Le Bon, who, at 51, looks every bit as stunning as she did during
the earliest days of her career, describes herself as a “terrible
shopper”, saying “I wish I had more help. I just go on gut instinct,
having no idea how it will all come together”. Despite her
protestations, the supermodel’s ‘thrown together’ combinations of
classic tailoring and casual separates embody effortless style at its
best. Fancy taking a leaf out of Yasmin’s book? You’ll need “jeans,
preferably quite scrappy, a leather biker jacket, a sharp cut navy
trouser suit, good white vests and heels, heels and more heels!” she
says. Find your key pieces in the new Nine by Savannah Miller collection, now available online.
