This exciting new skincare line just sold $2 million worth of product in 5 hours
If you haven’t heard of Monat before, let me catch you up. Launched in 2014 as a luxury vegan-friendly haircare line, the brand has quickly gained a cult following, especially in its native USA.
I was first sold on Monat when a pot of their Replenish Masque landed on our beauty desk a few months ago. It takes a seriously good product to transform my temperamental, frizz-prone mane into something soft and sleek. And this time, the results were instant.
Formulated without any nasties, (you won’t spot parabens or silicones on the ingredients' lists) Monat puts the focus on naturally-derived and skincare-inspired ingredients (their hydrating range contains hyaluronic acid). With this in mind, their latest foray into the world of skincare doesn’t seem like too much of a leap.
There are eight new products in the skincare line-up, from scrubs to serums and everything in-between, with each one intended to cater for the needs of all customers regardless of their skin type, age or gender.
If the rose-gold packaging alone wasn’t enough to have you scrabbling to add to basket, the science behind the range will. Taking their haircare knowledge and applying it to skin, Monat’s Rejuvenique oil complex (which features heavily in the original range) of 17 natural oils works just as well to boost your complexion as it does your tresses. Vitamin C and and fruit acids feature heavily too.

The Berry Defined Scrub, £54, is my top pick, thanks to its two-pronged approach to refreshing dull, tired skin. Best applied to damp skin (the drier your skin is, the harsher the exfoliation will feel) the grainy particles satisfyingly buff away surface-level gunk whilst natural fruit acids work to speed up cell turnover for a more radiant complexion.
