Best Beauty Boxes: Which one will you choose?
The Pretty Iconic beauty box by Reading in Heels
This one-off treasure trove of gorgeous beauty goodies has been created by Reading in Heels, to celebrate the paperback publication of Sali Hughes’ ever-stylish book; Pretty Iconic.
Full of the beauty favourites Sali references in the book, the box is a little pricer, at £85. But it includes over £250 worth of full-sized and travel-sized luxury buys, as well as copy of the book – so we reckon it’s totally worth treating yourself. With vintage treats such an Elizabeth Arden’s Eight-Hour Cream, and newer favourites like Ms. Markle’s blush of choice, Nars’ Orgasm, it’s the beauty hamper that covers all bases.
“The point of Pretty Iconic is not to talk about the best, it’s to talk of the most important, resonant, nostalgic and game changing. Time can’t rob them of what they meant to me, the public, and the beauty world at large” said Sali.
Marks & Spencer beauty box
This one slightly bends the rules a little, as it’s not a subscription box as such. But it’s so good, we couldn’t not include it!
Marks & Spencer have launched a brand new beauty box, offering a huge 16 products – including everything from beauty bits to skincare heroes.
The box is worth a huge £135, but amazingly, M&S are offering the summery box for just £15, when you spend £40 or more on any home, fashion or other beauty buy. Practically a bargain!

A box of high-end – and often innovative – skincare and make-up goodies each month is a tough treat to miss, but it’s a little tricky to get your head around the Beauty Pie concept.
By removing the middleman and selling products direct from the factory, Beauty Pie can charge just £4.75 for an “unbranded” foundation while a luxury label may charge £30 for the same product. Each of the products is panel-tested by make-up artists, product developers and a sourcing team to bring the best in cosmetics and skincare.
Essentially, you pay £10 each month and then select your products before ordering, but you don’t need to spend the full amount each month; instead you can roll it over.
For their £10 subscription box, our tester tried Beauty Pie’s Fantasticolour Eye Crayon, £3.37 (the rich colour went on beautifully and stayed on all day), and a Super Eye Energy Peptide Infusion Cream, £6.38, which was light and non-greasy.
