Andie MacDowell reveals she's embracing her gray hair and looks incredible
The Groundhog Day star is loving the "silver fox" life – does it inspire you to do the same?
With hair salons closed for the majority of the last 12 months, lockdown life has caused a lot of us to embrace our gray hair – and Andie MacDowell is no exception.
Around thanksgiving, the star shared an Instagram video in which she showed off new salt and pepper hair, with followers loving her new look.
"You finally went for it! It looks 🔥", one follower wrote, while another added, "Thank you for embracing your silver! You look fantastic and I wish more women in the public eye would do the same."
Now she's completely embraced the color. In a recent appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, the star opened up about loving the "silver fox" life with a full head of gray curls – and it may just inspire you to do the same.

"I wasn't coloring my hair and you could see my roots, and my daughters kept telling me that I looked badass," she explained to host Drew Barrymore and Ross Matthews. And that idea that I could look badass appealed to me. So I went for it, and I'm loving it.
"It's not that I'm letting myself go, I don't think of it that way," she added.

MacDowell also noted that she corrects people who call it "gray" hair rather than silver, as she's now a silver fox. "When I first did it I went to the grocery store... I thought I looked good, and I saw a man there, a 'silver fox' guy. A guy you see and go, 'he's a silver fox.'
"I immediately just put my shoulders back, and I was like, 'and so am I.' We kind of shot a look at each other and I was like, 'I'm a silver fox.'"
While MacDowell may not keep her newfound silver locks forever, she's definitely embracing them now. "I don't know what's going to happen in five years, I may color my hair again. But I'm enjoying it right now."
