Summer travels may be on most people’s minds, but for those taking a vacation to Disneyland in California or Walt Disney World in Florida, the parks have updated their mask mandates for guests.

Both parks are now requiring park guests to wear a mask indoors even if you’re vaccinated. This comes as the number of COVID-19 cases rise, due to the delta variant. The Centers for Disease Control has warned against visiting certain delta variant states, but Florida, so far, is not one of the “breeding grounds.”

The reinstated mask mandate will also require staff to wear them as well, regardless of their vaccination status, starting Friday.

“We are adapting our health and safety guidelines based on guidance from health and government officials, and will require Cast Members and Guests ages 2 and up, to wear face coverings in all indoor locations at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort beginning Friday, July 30, regardless of vaccination status,” a Disney spokesperson said in a press release obtained by Deadline.

This mandate will be enforced in any indoor building along with monorails and buses to Disney’s Skyliner gondola system.

“At Walt Disney World Resort, this includes upon entering and throughout all attractions and in enclosed transportation vehicles, including shuttles, buses, monorails and at Disney Skyliner,” the company added.

With the travel industry beginning to pick up, some families and travelers have been in search for the best summer vacations in the US, with Disney being at the top of most lists. Even the cruise industry, including Carnival Cruise Line is adding more ships to their lineup. Last month, Disney had dropped its mask mandate allowing guests to enter its parks without proof of vaccination status, but now as COVID-19 cases rise and the number of people getting vaccinated lowers, the parks want to ensure the safety of its visitors and employees.
