With Christmas nearly upon us, speculation on how the Royal Family will celebrate the festive occasion amid its so-called 'rift' is quickly heating up.
It's no secret that Prince William has been embroiled in a bitter conflict with Prince Harry for most of the year, with the two brothers reportedly at loggerheads ever since that bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in March.
From allegations of racism against Buckingham Palace to accusations that Kate Middleton made Meghan Markle cry, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have done little over the past several months to heal the tension caused by their withdrawal as senior royals in January 2020.
Now living in California with their two young children, Archie and Lilibet, the couple have said that they intend to remain in the US for the foreseeable future while continuing to serve the Crown from overseas.
With Covid-19 restricting travel, however, dividing their time between Europe and North America hasn't been easy. Meghan and Harry have yet to return to the UK together since their emigration, with the Duchess's second pregnancy and post-partum state stopping her from accompanying her husband to Prince Philip's funeral in April and Princess Diana's statue unveiling in July. It's now been reported that Meghan and Harry will stay in the US for Christmas, marking their second year in a row to ditch the Queen's celebrations at Sandringham House.
Their decision to remain at home for the holidays is unlikely to affect the Royal Family's generous nature though. When asked whether or not Prince William and Kate Middleton will send Archie and Lilibet Christmas gifts, royal expert Katie Nicholl, told OK! magazine, "Yes, of course. They give gifts to the whole family and that includes all of their nieces and nephews."

As for what the Cambridges will send Archie and Lilibet remains a mystery, but if previous royal presents are anything to go by, they'll be sure to gift them something that has a solid purpose. Prince Harry stunned royal fans in February after revealing that the Queen had surprised her great-grandson with a waffle-maker, inadvertently upgrading the two-year-old's breakfast routine for good.
Here's hoping the Royal Family's presents for the Sussex children this Christmas are just as exciting as last year's.
