Prince Harry has paid tribute to his son, Archie, on his first public appearance with Meghan Markle since their controversial US move.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have stepped out for the first time together since their withdrawal as senior royals, flying into New York City on Wednesday for a series of public engagements.
The exciting appearance comes shortly after it was revealed that Meghan and Harry are to return to the UK for Christmas with Lilibet and Archie.
The royal couple made the high-profile trip from their Santa Barbara mansion to the Big Apple to attend a United Nations meeting on Covid-19, racial issues, and mental health with US Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield on Thursday.
Smiling confidently and wearing coordinated black suits, the Duke and Duchess looked every inch the powerhouse moguls they've established themselves to be since their controversial emigration to the United States in early 2020.
The important conference, which reportedly lasted about 40 minutes, likely also covered the upcoming Global Citizen Live, which will be attended by the couple in Central Park on Saturday. The 24-hour internationally broadcast event will see Harry and Meghan join A-list performers like Camilla Cabello and Jennifer Lopez on a worldwide stage to raise awareness for vaccine equity and to call on G7 leaders to distribute vaccines to the populations of developing countries.
These recent ventures are far from the first time the royal duo has used their public platform to advocate for this vital cause. In May, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle asked fans to donate to a vaccine fund to mark Archie's birthday. The Duke also made a passionate speech at Vax Live to thank the Covid-19 frontline workers and to urge the world's politicians to prioritize vaccine equity, while Meghan joined the event via virtual to raise awareness on the rise of gender-based violence during the pandemic.
However, even when it's time to get down to business, the Duke and Duchess never forget who's important to them. Harry kept two-year-old Archie's spirit close to his heart throughout the UN engagement, proving that no matter where he is in the world, his children will always be his first priority.
The Duke could be seen carrying a black laptop case emblazoned with the words 'Archie's Papa' in silver lettering as he toured the streets of Manhattan with Meghan on Thursday. The customized accessory was the perfect nod to his beloved son, who has remained in California with his baby sister Lilibet during his parents' cross-country trip.
Meghan and Harry also visited a 9/11 memorial on their New York tour, stopping by the observatory at One World Trade Center to pay their respects to the victims of the tragic 2001 terrorist attack. They were accompanied by New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and Gov. Kathy Hochul for the somber occasion.
It's been reported that the couple is staying at the luxurious Carlyle Hotel, which was famously frequented by Harry's late mother, Princess Diana, in the 1990s.
When asked if she was enjoying her trip to the Big Apple, Meghan replied, "It's wonderful to be back, thank you."
