Royal family publicly reunite for first time in months as they get glam to support Kate Middleton—but the Queen was missing
The royal family has publicly reunited for the first time since Prince Philip's funeral to support the Duchess of Cambridge
The royal family has reunited publicly for the first time since Prince Philip's funeral in order to support the Duchess of Cambridge at the Westminster Abbey Carol Concert.
- Members of the royal family have reunited to support Kate Middleton for a royal event.
- The Countess of Wessex, the Middleton's and many of Prince William's royal cousins were in attendance.
- In other royal news, Carole Middleton reveals the unusual way she includes her grandkids in this popular Christmas tradition.
The Duchess of Cambridge hosted a charity Carol Concert at Westminster Abbey on November 8. The royals revealed that this event was to pay tribute to, "organizations and unsung heroes who have pulled together and through acts of kindness helped others in the face of extraordinary challenges."
It was rumored that Kate Middleton and Prince William would reunite the Firm at this London event. Although the Queen was not in attendance, many members of the royal family arrived in London to support the royal couple and show their united front as a family.
This was particularly moving as it is the first time that the family has been seen publicly united since the funeral of Prince Philip in April 2021.
As it was a school night, Catherine and William left their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis at their home in Kensington Palace. The couple has previously banned their children from royal events for fear that their children will be too tired for school.
Many of Prince William's cousins were all in attendance to show, and many of them left their young children at home also.
Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi looked elegant as they arrived at Westminster Abbey. The Princess wore her strawberry blonde hair in large curls and complimented her brown camel coat with an ox-blood handbag. Her husband also looked dapper as he stepped out in a fitted suit with a matching dark mask.

Princess Eugenie was also in attendance at this event to support the Duchess. This was a particularly special event for the Princess who was also there to support another famous friend.
For this event, Kate Middleton teamed up with Princess Eugenie’s popstar pal Ellie Goulding who performed at the carol concert. The Princess was able to support both her friends and family by attending this event.
Zara and Mike Tindall also showed their support for their family at this event. This isn't the first time that the family has been reunited since the death of the patriarch, the Duke of Edinburgh.
Cousins Zara and Eugenie hosted a joint double christening for their children born in 2021, Lucas and August. However, this was a private event therefore this carol concert is the first time the family has made a public united front.
Sophie, the Countess of Wessex also flew in to support her family. The Countess had a busy schedule as she was in Brussels that morning speaking as the patron of NSPCC (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children) to a group of NGOs who are working across Europe to protect the rights of children.
Despite her hectic schedule, the Countess flew in after completing her humanitarian work in order to support the family.
Kate was also supported by members of her family as the Middleton clan arrived at Westminster to support the Duchess.
Kate's brother James Middleton and his new wife Alizée Thevenet were dressed to the nines for this London event. The youngest sibling of the Duchess of Cambridge was married earlier this year at a private ceremony in France, and this is one of the first debuts his new bride has made as a member of the Middleton family.
Kate's mother Carole, and father Michael also traveled to London to support their eldest daughter. They were joined by their son and their daughter Pippa who was not joined by her husband James Matthews and their two young children.
Pippa and Princess Beatrice looked gorgeous as they wore the same £645 coat by exclusive British brand The Fold in different shades.
Although the Christmas Carol concert took place on Wednesday, November 8, 2021, the concert itself will not be available to the public until Christmas Eve when it will be broadcast via ITV for the public to view.
