Princess Anne was told she's 'sexy' during a meeting with one enthusiastic fan. The Princess Royal, who's fast becoming known for her dry wit, reacted in the way only Anne can—by taking it in her stride!

Just when you thought that one time Princess Anne was mistaken for Prince Charles provided us with the royal's most hilarious response—one eager young boy pushed it even further.

The interaction happened when the Princess Royal met children as part of a Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) event. The event was attended by the keen equestrian to launch the Princess Royal Coaching Academy, in Warwickshire, on behalf of the RDA.

However, for one keen young gentleman called Ryder, it wasn't altogether clear who Anne was. The charity shared their hilarious interaction on their Twitter account.

"Are you the Queen?" asked Ryder.

"No, the Queen is my mother," replied the Princess, amused by it all. But the real laughs came after his utterly unexpected compliments to Anne.

"You're very beautiful," said Ryder, "and very sexy!"

The charity, who shared a photo of the Princess clearly very amused, said of the interaction, "There's a beauty to working with children, they'll come out with anything!"

Understandably, many royal fans found then interaction totally hilarious with one user commenting, "Best story I have heard in ages….well said Ryder, and great sense of humor Princess Anne ….loved it."

Another added, "and look at the response of the woman assisting Ryder! Priceless!"

As well as Ryder, the royal and former Olympian met with the RDA's hard-working volunteers, some of the people who've benefitted from the charity and, of course, the ponies and horses who reside at the academy.

Launched in 1969, the RDA helps provide therapy, fitness, and skills development for disabled adults and children through activities like horse riding and carriage driving.

The 71-year-old has close links with the charity, having been the organization's president since 1985 and a patron since 1971.
