Prince Harry and Meghan Markle celebrated their second wedding anniversary earlier this week with a day of quiet celebrations amid lockdown.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle marked two years of marriage earlier this week - but their anniversary was relatively low-key.

According to royal biographer, Omid Scobie – who has penned their latest book alongside Catherine Durand – the couple enjoyed Mexican food and cocktails to mark two years since their fairytale wedding.

Writing in Harper’s Bazaar he said, “And with the Sussexes now based in Los Angeles, it only seemed right to celebrate with a Southern Californian favourite: Mexican food.

“The couple, who also exchanged cotton-based gifts per tradition, enjoyed a number of favourite dishes together, washed down with margaritas.”

Having recently re-located to Los Angeles, a separate source said Harry, 35, and Meghan, 38, reached out to their loved ones via Zoom.

Meghan and Harry are also thought to have caught up with several vendors who were involved in their Windsor wedding. “They all reminisced about what a beautiful and magical day it was,” a source revealed.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are currently isolating in an $18million Hollywood hideout owned by Hollywood star Tyler Perry.

The luxury 22-acre property is located in exclusive and highly sought after Beverly Ridge gated community and comes with its own security team.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are staying in the 8-bedroom, 12-bathroom villa with their son Archie, who turned one this month.

It is thought Meghan and Harry’s close friend, Oprah Winfrey – who attended their wedding in May 2018 – put them in touch with Tyler.
