Kate Middleton's favourite creative hobby has been revealed—and it’s perfect for stressful times.

Scottish illustrator Johanna Basford, who sparked the much-loved adult coloring book movement back in 2013, previously revealed that Prince William let slip a lovely detail about his wife's relatable hobby.

Back in 2016 the artist was awarded an OBE for her important creative work.

And last year the creative took to her Instagram page with a throwback photo of her time at Buckingham Palace, revealing a lovely conversation that she had with the Duke of Cambridge about Kate Middleton's love of coloring while she was there.

Alongside her series of incredible royal photos, Johanna wrote, "This photo was snapped at Buckingham Palace in November 2016. HRH The Duke of Cambridge (or Prince William as we all know him 😉) was awarding me an OBE. 🏅 This in itself blew my mind…"

Sharing more poignant details of her chat with the future King, Johanna recalled moments of the conversation she will "never forget", revealing that William asked when she was due to give birth.

"Now here’s the thing, the Duchess was pretty neat during her pregnancies. I was NOT. When I laughed and said ‘Oh not for MONTHS yet!’ he looked VERY surprised! 😳," she joked.

Going on to announce that William opened up on Kate's creative side, Johanna added that Kate is just like the millions of other adult coloring book fans out there.

"He told me his wife likes my books. She colours. Kate is one of us! 💕 Now this makes perfect sense. Why wouldn’t she? A busy mum with what I imagine is a lot of stress, trying to raise and protect a family."

It's no secret that Kate is partial to creating some art and has famously paved much her career as a royal around photography and she even studied Art History at St Andrews University, so it's unsurprising that the future Queen Consort is a dab hand at a spot of coloring.
