Prince Harry now has a ponytail - and we don’t mean one in a stable.

The Duke of Sussex, who has been living in California since last spring, was spotted by Rob Lowe sporting a noticeably longer hairdo last week. The 58-year-old Hollywood actor, who is reportedly friends with Prince Harry, revealed the startling news on the Late Late Show with James Corden.

“I just ran into your countryman, the English treasure, Prince Harry, at the stoplight,” Lowe told the bewildered host.

The revelation was met with skepticism by Corden, who asked for exact location details.

“He lives about a mile from me,” Lowe explained. The sighting occurred just 10 minutes before the interview, and was “very, very quick.”

“Don’t totally quote me on it — but it looked like he’s wearing a ponytail,” Lowe said, leaving Corden momentarily speechless.

“It looked to me as a casual observer that his hair had grown very long and was pulled back very tightly by what I can only assume was a ponytail,” the actor continued.

Despite his insistence, Corden seemed unconvinced by Lowe’s bizarre story.

“I’m certain that isn’t true,” he replied. “Do you know what I think’s happened? I think you didn’t see Prince Harry.”

Lowe buckled down, however, adding that he did some investigative work to confirm his suspicions. "It was him because I have to say… I followed him to the house to see if the car went in," he admitted.

Prince Harry, who officially emigrated from Britain with Meghan Markle and their son, Prince Archie, last March, has reportedly been keeping a low-profile in his new home of Montecito, California.

“He’s been very reclusive. Seeing him in the neighborhood is like seeing the Loch Ness Monster, and I finally saw him,” Lowe said.

As much as we love the idea of Prince Harry rocking a ginger ponytail, we think it’s best to wait to hear from the horse’s mouth on this one.
