Victoria Beckham's daughter Harper brands her mum's vintage fashion choices 'unacceptable'

Victoria Beckham has opened up about how her daughter Harper thinks her fashion choices when she was part of the Spice Girls were "unacceptable". 

Harper, 10, doesn't hold back on telling her mum what she thinks when it comes to her former glory days as part of the Spice Girls.  

"She’s not one of these kids who are going out with a full face of make-up and a crop top," the star said of daughter Harper in an interview with Vogue Australia. 

"She actually said to me recently, 'Mummy, I’ve seen some pictures of you when you were in the Spice Girls and your skirts were just unacceptable. They were just too short.'"

The Spice Girls were known for their glamorous outfits; Geri's Union Jack dress, Mel B's leopard-print catsuit and, of course, Victoria's leather mini back in her Posh Spice days.

Husband David Beckham didn't help matters by backing Harper up.

"Then David piped up and said, 'Absolutely, Harper! They really, really were.' And she was actually quite disgusted at how short my skirts were," she added.

"I said, 'Are you never going to wear skirts like that?' She said, 'Absolutely not.' We’ll see."

This comes after the news of Victoria Beckham's 'odd' dietary requests at Spanish wedding was revealed, where the British fashion designer and former Spice Girl apparently asked for the 'whole menu' of the Seville reception to be changed. Whether Victoria made similar requests for her dinner at Brooklyn Beckham's wedding reception is unknown.

Victoria also opened up about how much she worries about her daughter having to face body image pressure, saying she finds it "terrifying".

She told Vogue Australia, “She’s at that age where her body is going to start changing but it’s about making sure that we communicate a lot as a family and she surrounds herself with nice friends. 

"But it is quite terrifying, I can’t lie.”
