Sharon Osbourne has admitted she once slapped Piers Morgan during a heated argument – and was quickly forced to apologize.

The former Britain's Got Talent judge shared the shocking revelation that she assaulted her long-time friend at a Chinese restaurant in London after the pair became embroiled in a fiery disagreement. The revelation comes in the wake of Sharon's first interview since quitting The Talk, in which she addressed the controversy surrounding her exit from the CBS daytime talk show.

"We argue like hell. We had a punch-up once," Sharon told the Daily Mail's You magazine. "I slapped him in Mr. Chow's in Knightsbridge."

It seemingly didn't take long for the ex-The Talk host to regret her actions. She was immediately told to apologize to Piers by her husband Ozzy, who was none-too-impressed by the physical altercation.

"Then I go home and Ozzy goes, 'Call him and apologize. Do it right now,'" Sharon recalled.

The aggressive spat, which occurred 'years ago', wasn't out of the ordinary for the duo's friendship. Sharon explained that they are often at loggerheads with each other, with Piers regularly ignoring her after their arguments.

"He'll be huffy with me for a day and then he talks to me. We don't agree about lots of things," she said.

Despite their turbulent relationship history, Sharon has always been extremely loyal to Piers. She even found herself at the eye of a media storm last month after she defended the former Good Morning Britain host's allegedly bigoted comments about Meghan Markle.

The talent manager buckled down on her stance during a tense discussion on The Talk, in which co-host Sheryl Underwood attempted to explain the problematic nature of Piers' statements. Sharon became increasingly antagonistic towards her colleagues when the subject of racism was raised, demanding that they 'educate' her on the issue before erupting into tears.

She later took to Twitter to apologize to the black community, only to hit headlines again after Leah Remini alleged she had used racial and homophobic slurs towards fellow presenters on set. The King of Queens star, who had starred as a host on the first season of The Talk, claimed that Sharon had referred to Julie Chen 'slanty eyes' and called Sara Rubin a 'p*ssy licker.'

Sharon's spokesperson vehemently denied the allegations, dismissing them as 'lies' and a 'recasting of history.'

The Talk went on hiatus following the exchange between Sharon and Sheryl to conduct an internal investigation, leaving many fans of the show wondering if the five-part cast would return in one piece. On March 26, it was confirmed that Sharon would leave the panel after it was decided that her behavior 'did not align' with CBS's 'values for a respectful workplace.'
