Sex and the City fans, get ready—the trio has become a quartet once again.

Sarah Jessica Parker caused quite the stir with her most recent update on the Sex and the City reboot on Monday after introducing fans to a mysterious new cast member who—sigh of relief—is not going to be the new Samantha.

The Emmy-award winning actor, who is set to reprise her role as Carrie Bradshaw on the upcoming revival series And Just Like That, has been dropping major sneak peeks of the highly-anticipated HBO show ever since filming began in spring, and it looks like she's not about to hold back the titbits anytime soon.

In her latest Instagram post, the beloved TV veteran poses alongside on-screen best friends Kristin Davis (Charlotte), and Cynthia Nixon (Miranda)—as well as a new talent by the name of Nicole Ari Parker. The sweet shots show the four women embracing and smiling, before turning around to face the wall and leaning back for a slightly goofier angle.

"Oh so fine," Sarah Jessica captioned the photos. "I’d sing along to 70’s love songs with this trio deep into any night. @justlikethatmax I’ll see you ladies tomorrow!
X, SJ." The post comes just a few days after Sarah Jessica Parker shared a loved-up photo from the SATC set, teasing fans with what's to come for Carrie's relationship with Mr. Big in the upcoming series.

While most followers were delighted to see SJP and her friends having fun on-set, some were concerned by the addition of Nicole Ari Parker to the iconic clique.

Ever since it was confirmed by HBO bosses that its original fourth member, Samantha Jones, would be written out of the reboot, viewers have been on high alert for her potential replacement. Kim Cattrall's fans were quick to voice their concern at the photos, with many flooding the comment section with their grief for her character.

"Miss Samantha 😞😞😞," one person wrote.

"Without Samantha, it just won't be the same! 😢" another posted.

It doesn't help that recent behind-the-scenes footage has suggested that a death occurs in one of the episodes of And Just Like That. A Sex and the City reboot video of a funeral scene stunned Samantha fans last week, leaving many desperate to find out the fate of the adored PR executive.

Fortunately, And Just Like That's writers have decided against replacing Kim's character with a whole new person. While it remains unclear how Samantha's absence will be explained, it doesn't look like she'll conveniently return with a completely different face and body.

Who is Nicole Ari Parker?

Nicole Ari Parker is an American actor and model best known for her role on Chicago PD as Superintendent Samantha Miller. Luckily, that's the only Samantha she plans on playing. Nicole will join the Sex and the City reboot not as the sex-positive maven, but as Lisa Todd Wexley, a Park Avenue mother-of-three and documentary-maker. Her on-screen husband,  a high-flying hedge fund manager named Herbert Wexley, will be played by Broadway star Christopher Jackson.

Nicole will be joined by a litany of brand new actors, including Sarita Choudhury and Karen Pittman, for the exciting revival, as well as a whole host of familiar faces.

Sex and the City fans rejoiced after it was announced Chris Noth was officially returning as Mr. Big, following initial reports he had been snubbed from the reboot's lineup. The reunion will also see the return of David Eigenberg as Miranda's husband Steve Hobbes, as well as Evan Handler as Charlotte's husband Harry Goldenblatt.
