Martha Stewart has shown off her new knee scooter in an encouraging recovery update, hailing the medical device for saving her life.
The American businesswoman looked the picture of health in her latest post-surgery Instagram upload, proudly posing with her beloved new KneeRover at her New York office on Wednesday.
Martha underwent a three-hour-long operation in New York last month, after emerging from a car and accidentally stepping into a hole in the dark. The slip-up ruptured her Achilles tendon, the fibrous cord that links the muscles in the back of your calf to your heel bone, preventing her from walking without severe pain. Despite trying to heal the injury with rest, Martha was ultimately forced to accept surgical intervention four weeks ago to repair the damage.
Fortunately for the domestic mogul, it looks like going under the knife has worked wonders for her recovery. She was well enough to make her first trip back to her New York workplace yesterday, where she debuted a surprise new accessory - her trusty KneeRover. The TV personality and influencer couldn't contain her joy as she leaned on the innovative vehicle, which has become popular in recent years as an alternative to crutches.

"My @kneerover has saved my life!!! I have this model for travel and outdoors- large wheels with heavy treads and an indoor version with smaller wheels for use in my home -it can maneuver in and around my antique furnishings and tight spaces," she said.
Martha also credited the 'lovely' staff at the hospital where she was treated, thanking them for "putting me back together again."
The culinary mogul has come a long way from her initial post-op days when she was required to "lay still with leg [sic] elevated for two weeks" under doctors' orders. Martha went on to warn her fans to never "chance tearing your Achilles" after she was placed in a "very heavy inflexible uncomfortable BOOT." She was not allowed to walk or even put pressure on the foot, forcing her to take a rare break from her normally busy schedule.

The New Jersey native had been on a career roll at the time of the accident, having recently embarked on a major new business venture. Martha Stewart launched a brand-new home website with furniture, recipes, and even CBD in June, where fans can find all the lifestyle guru's go-to products for creating the perfect home. She had also been in peak health, even sharing her secret tip for looking great at 79 with her legion of followers earlier this year.
