Dr. Jill Biden will give her first television interview as First Lady of the United States on February 25, in a one-on-one chat with Kelly Clarkson.

The American Idol star and talk show host took to Twitter to share the exciting news - and to reveal a few exclusive details on the big day.

“I’m going to the White House y’all!” Kelly announced in the short video clip. “First Lady Jill Biden and I are hanging for the Kelly Clarkson Show. I’m so excited!”

The sit-down interview, which will take place at the White House in a socially distanced format, will cover a range of pressing issues. Kelly is likely to ask Dr. Biden about education, cancer research, military families, and the reunification of the country, before opening the floor to a virtual audience for questions.

Kelly will also sing a song of the First Lady’s choice, in the show’s musical segment, ‘Kellyoake.’ The performance will be staged in the East Room of the White House, which is famously used to host events and ceremonies.

Dr. Biden’s chosen song has yet to be revealed, but if her previous preferences are anything to go by, it’s likely to include some powerful vocals and lyrics. Her 2016 summer playlist with President Biden was packed with heart-wrenching ballads, including Adele’s Hello and Sam Smith’s Stay with Me. She also seems to favor soulful tunes from the last century, such as Frank Sinatra’s My Way and Tina Turner’s The Best.

Dr. Jill Biden, who works as a Professor of English at Northern Virginia Community College, recently became the first FLOTUS to maintain a full-time job whilst in office. She holds a Bachelor's degree, a Doctoral degree and two Masters degrees, and is predicted to focus on the reform of higher education during her term.

At a recent education summit, she even pledged that the Biden administration would ensure free access to community college for all Americans.
