Ella was Managing Editor for Woman&Home online from September 2024 to February 2026, helping the team to ensure our content is expertly written, authoritative, timely and compelling. Ella now works as Tom’s Guide’s Engagement Editor.
She regularly digs through magazine issues and digital archives to unearth content treasures in need of a good polish in order to bring readers a variety of interesting articles; helps the section editors to forward-plan features; and writes news stories and the odd buying guide or product recommendation, putting her eye for good design and photography to use.
She has over 15 years of editorial experience, graduating from Kingston University with a First Class Honours degree in Journalism in 2008. She has written and edited magazines and websites including fellow Future titles TechRadar.com, CreativeBloq.com, Digital Camera magazine, NPhoto, BikeRadar.com, Mollie Makes and more. She was also Editor of professional photography website www.canon-europe.com/pro, having worked her way up from Production Editor. As such, she's a stickler for fact-checking, has too many opinions about grammar and is easily excited by a beautiful photo.
As a mum of two young children, she loves articles that save her time and money, whether buying clothes and beauty products to fit her changing body and lifestyle needs, or things to make her home more comfortable and chores easier to tick off.
Outside of work, when she's not busy chasing her sons around the play parks and soft plays of South West England and worshipping her three rescue cats, she's likely to be in the garden, steadily turning it from a neglected concrete jungle to a halfway usable green space. They’ve also just received planning permission for a kitchen extension so 2026 looks set to be a year of big home improvements and lots of builders’ tea.
