The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge share Easter wishes with fans with unconventional post
We're sure they had a lovely day!

The Cambridges have released a sweet video to mark Easter as a family - but it's very different from their past Easter posts.
- The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared an un unusual video with fans to celebrate Easter.
- The Cambridge family are thought to be spending Easter together at Kensington Palace.
- In other royal news, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have already come up with a unique birth plan for their daughter.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge gave royal fans a glimpse of their Easter on Easter Sunday, with a sweet Instagram video of a chocolate egg.
On the official Instagram page, @KensingtonRoyal, the family posted a video showing a milk chocolate egg decorated in white chocolate being smashed by a rolling pin. The caption alongside reading, 'Wishing you all a safe and happy Easter.'
The clip runs in reverse and shows the pieces coming back together into a complete egg, with the words ‘Happy Easter’ written across the front.

Fans were quick to share their good wishes with the family, commenting on the post, 'Happy Easter! Wish you peace and happiness,' one commented, while another said, 'Happy huntings, may the eggs be plentiful and your baskets bottomless'. A third wrote, 'Happy Easter to yall as well from the USA!'
Another asked, 'did the kids make the easter egg? we need more info'
This year's post is quite different from the Cambridges' previous Easter posts. Last year, the family shared a photograph of Kensington Palace alongside some daffodils to celebrate Easter Sunday.
Last year would have also been a quiet and intimate family occasion, as the UK had just entered to first nation lockdown as a result of the global pandemic. The family's 2020 family picture was accompanied by the government slogan, '#StayHomeSaveLives.'
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their three children Prince George, 7, Princess Charlotte, 5, and two-year-old Louis, are thought to be spending Easter at Kensington Palace, where they have been living since schools reopened last month. Prior to that, the family were isolating together at Anmer Hall. Across the pond, Harry and Meghan are also thought to be spending a quiet Easter at home with Archie.
We hope you all had a lovely Easter!
