For many of us, meeting the Queen of England would be a momentous occasion. But for two little boys in Glasgow, there were far more important things to focus on—namely, marshmallows.
Earlier today, the Queen visited a Glaswegian wild space called 'The Children's Wood' with her daughter Princess Anne and, naturally, was greeted by a crowd of onlookers eager to catch a glimpse of the royals.
However, for some youngsters, the real excitement came in the form of toasted treats around the firepit, with two young boys pictured eagerly tucking into some molten marshmallows while Her Majesty passes them by in an 'epic' shot.
This encounter was caught on video and posted on the Royal Family's Instagram page, much to the delight of fans. "Okay, that kid blissfully focussing on his molten marshmallow with Her Majesty in the background is an epic shot," one follower commented.
While another social media user agreed and said, "I love how the little guy is more concerned with eating his marshmallow than looking at the Queen!"

The caption accompanying the Instagram post read, "Today The Queen and The Princess Royal visited one of the last wild spaces in the west-end of Glasgow: The Children’s Wood.
"Formerly the site of a football pitch, It’s now an important place for the local community: people of all generations come here to walk their dogs, picnic, garden, play, and enjoy being in nature."
Royal fans also loved to see the Queen spending time with her daughter Princess Anne. One commented, "How marvelous is the Queen. Looking so lovely with Princess Anne."
Another Instagram user agreed and said, "Her Majesty never ceases to amaze me. Lovely to see her out with The Princess Royal."
This is the Queen's first tour of Scotland since her late husband Prince Philip's death in April 2021.
During the tour, the Queen has been accompanied by both Princess Anne and grandson Prince William, with sweet new Queen photos seeing William step into Philip's shoes by supporting Her Majesty during royal engagements.
The Queen's annual Scottish trip is commonly referred to a 'Holyrood Week' as the monarch stays at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.
The Queen's visit will conclude in the next few days as the Her Majesty continues to attend in-person engagements, visiting different members of the community.
